Where is the inlet valve of the two-valve manifold located and what is its function

date:2026-01-07 11:13
The function of a two-valve manifold is to serve as a stop valve (for switching or conducting), while the other valve is for drainage (typically for contaminants, or water and gas). A three-valve manifold consists of two stop valves and a balancing valve (also a stop valve) in the middle. The two valves are the stop valves on the high pressure side and the low pressure side (when opened, they transmit the pressure on the high pressure side or the low pressure side). When the balancing valve is opened, it connects the high pressure side and the low pressure side, typically used in conjunction with differential pressure measurement. A five-valve manifold is based on the three-valve manifold, with drain valves added to the high and low pressure sides (with the same purpose as the two-valve manifold)

One for intake and one for exhaust. The direction cannot be wrong, as there are arrows on the valve body

Generally, one is located in the middle of the two-valve manifold, with a blue plastic ring, and the other is located lower down, with a red plastic ring. Which one is it?
